| When one asks long-time
faculty members for names of outstanding alumni, more often than not,
Michelle Johnson is one of the first names to come to mind. Johnson was
not only an academic and athletic stand out at SHS, but left Spencer to
become the first-ever female wing commander for the United States
Airforce.
Johnson maintained a perfect four-point average at Spencer in addition to being the lead runner for two state championship shuttle hurdle relay teams which both set state records. During her first basketball game as a freshman, Johnson scored 58 points, which still stands as a school record. |
